Worktop Coatings

Resurface worn laminate worktops with seamless, food-safe sprayed coatings — stone-look, solid colour or granite-effect, without the cost of new stone.

Worktops take the hardest life in the kitchen — scorches by the hob, water swelling at the sink, knife scars near the board. Replacing them means joinery, plumbing and a week of takeaways. Worktop coatings from AT Precision Coatings resurface what you already have with a seamless, food-safe sprayed finish that looks and performs like a far more expensive surface.

Choose solid colour, stone-effect or granite-fleck, in matte or satin. The system builds an adhesion primer, colour coats and a certified food-contact-safe clear seal that resists heat, stains and moisture. Edges, upstands and splashbacks are coated in the same run for a factory-continuous look.

Applied in two to three days with the kitchen largely usable throughout, it is the fastest way to a “new kitchen” feel — and it pairs perfectly with our kitchen resprays for a full transformation on a laminate budget.

Questions, answered

Can you coat over existing laminate worktops?
Yes — laminate is the most common substrate we coat, along with solid wood and previously painted surfaces in sound condition.
How heat resistant is it?
Resistant to normal kitchen temperatures — boiling pans on the hob and hot mugs are fine. We still recommend trivets for pans straight off the ring, as with any worktop.
Is it really food-safe?
Yes. The fully cured clear coat is certified food-contact safe, which we document in your handover pack.
Can you do upstands and splashbacks too?
Yes — upstands, splashback panels and window reveals are coated in the same system for a seamless run.
How long is the kitchen out of use?
The worktop is out of service for around 48 hours during coating and cure; the rest of the kitchen stays usable.
