Roller Shutter Resprays

Corroded, scratched or graffiti-marked shutters restored with flexible coatings that survive 20,000+ cycles — colour change or like-for-like.

Roller shutters live a hard life: salted roads, delivery knocks, attempted break-ins and ten thousand cycles a year. Ordinary paint chalks, cracks at every slat joint and lets rust back in within months. Our roller shutter resprays use flexible, elastomeric coating systems that move with the shutter — folding into the barrel day after day without splitting.

Every job begins with an honest assessment. We map corrosion, check slats and springs, and treat rust properly: mechanical prep, converter, primer. Only then do we spray colour — either a like-for-like refresh or a complete change to any RAL reference, with anti-graffiti topcoats for shutters on busier streets.

Work happens at night or over weekends with the premises secure throughout. In the morning, the shutter runs smoothly, quietly, and in exactly the colour your brand asked for.

Why roller shutter resprays

Built to flex

Elastomeric coatings formulated to fold into the barrel thousands of times without cracking.

Rust treated, not hidden

Corrosion is killed and primed before any topcoat touches the slat.

Anti-graffiti shield

Optional topcoats that release marker, spray paint and posters.

Out-of-hours completion

Nights and weekends — your shutters close and open as normal throughout.

How it works

Traffic film removed, corrosion treated with converter and primer.

  3. 3

    Mask & protect

Guides, walls, glazing and pavement fully sheeted.

  4. 4

    Spray system

Flexible primer plus two elastomeric topcoats in your RAL finish.

  5. 5

Shutter run through multiple cycles and inspected before sign-off.

Questions, answered

Will the coating crack as the shutter rolls?
No. We use elastomeric systems specifically formulated for moving coils — they elongate with the slat instead of splitting like rigid paints.
Can you colour-match our brand?
Any RAL, BS or NCS reference, or a physical sample match for corporate estates.
My shutters are rusty — is that a problem?
Rusty shutters are our most common job. Corrosion is mechanically prepared, treated with converter and primed before coating.
How long until the shutter can be used?
Typically overnight for touch-dry and 24–48 hours before heavy cycling, scheduled so your opening hours are unaffected.
Do you coat the guides and box too?
Yes — slats, side guides, bottom rail and shutter box are coated in one programme.
